Week 9 in the NFL had some interesting results, with double-digit spreads not working out for heavy favorites and some to sup games becoming lopsided dominations. That just means we're facing more unpredictability in Week 10 with Sporting News' picks and predictions against the spread.We're back to a slate of 14 matchups with only four teams on a bye. From Thursday through Monday, there's also a unique contest to consider on Sunday morning. Game of the Week: Vikings at Bills (-7.5, 46.5 o/u)The Vikings are feeling all that swag with Kirk Cousins delivering in Kevin O'Connell's offense. But their defense is teetering on leading to a second defeat for several games since Week 2 in Philadelphia. Josh Allen will fight through his elbow pain to raise his level of all-around play while his go-to wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, will have major revenge on his mind with replacement Justin Jefferson on the other side. The Vikings won't run enough early to attack the Bills, who can pick apart Patrick Peterson and their secondary.Pick:Bills win 34-24 and cover the spread.NFC Game of the Week: Seahawks at Buccaneers (-2.5, 44.5 o/u) in Munich, GermanyThe Seahawks have shored up offensive tackle and their explosive running game with rookies. Kenneth Walker can run well on a weakened Buccaneers' run defense to keep taking pre sure off Geno Smith to keep him comfortable throwing to D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. The Bucs' secondary isn't in the best spot to contain those wide receivers, while the Seahawks' coverage can fare better vs. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Smith outdueling Tom Brady? Upset of the Week: Steelers (+2.5, 41 o/u) over SaintsThe Steelers tend to play pretty well under Mike Tomlin after a bye and will be motivated to Chicago Bears Kids Jersey push closer to ..500 with Kenny Pickett turning his best pa sing performance as a rookie at home. The Saints are coming off a tough week against a defense that will have more fixes in store while facing old Bengals foe Andy Dalton at QB.Pick: Steelers win 24-23.Lock of the Week: Dolphins (-4, 48.5 o/u) over BrownsThe Dolphins were on the other side of calling a Bears upset last week. They didn't lose the game but they were pushed to the limit in Chicago. Things will be different against Cleveland in Miami against a sputtering run defense that can aslo give up some big pa s plays with shaky cover men vs. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Former Dolphins backup QB Jacoby Bri sett will be solved by some defenders familiar with his game.Pick:Dolphins win 27-17 and cover the spread. Getty Images Lions at Bears (-3, 48.5 o/u)The Lions' style of defense also cannot contain Justin Fields' pa sing and running, much like the Dolphins struggled in a different shade of blue in Chicago last week. Their offense was inept while beating the Packers and Detroit can't stop Fields or a traditional run-heavy attack or key weapons Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet.Pick:Bears win 27-20 and cover the spread.Broncos at Titans (-3, 39 o/u)The Broncos will try to get improved play from Ru sell Wilson after the bye but their pa sing game i sues will give Tenne see a break back at home. Gale Sayers Jersey There's a good chance Ryan Tannehill returns to facilitate a run-heavy attack with Derrick Henry while avoiding the strength of Denver's defense vs. the pa s. Mike Vrabel also has a huge coaching edge over Nathaniel Hackett.Pick: Titans win 23-14 and cover the spread (Getty Images) Jaguars at Chiefs (-9.5, 50.5 o/u)Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne Jr. and Christian Kirk have been a solid offensive trio in the right matchups for an improved run-centric Jacksonville attack. They can keep the Jaguars in the game for a while but the Chiefs, coming off an overtime escape against the Titans, will be eager to show their usual explosive scoring offense at home with more punch from the running game to take pre sure off Patrick Mahomes.Pick:Chiefs win 38-24 and cover the spread.Texans at Giants (-6.5, 39.5 o/u)The Texans won't suddenly correct their run defense for Saquon Barkley. Damien Williams Jersey They will do their best to run well and stay in the game with Dameon Pierce, but eventually Davis Mills will make the critical mistakes that Daniel Jones used to make. Mills makes the big turnovers while Jones continues to play efficient and athletic QB.Pick:Giants win 23-13 and cover the spread (Getty Images) Colts at Raiders (-6.5, 42.5 o/u)The Colts are breaking in a new inexperienced coach, Jeff Saturday, with likely another week of no Jonathan Taylor and a struggling second-year QB Sam Ehlinger. Indianapolis' wide receivers have been curbed by Ehlinger, which is another much-needed break for Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas' defense. Derek Carr, Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs will all get right in the same game to ensure no upset vs. an opponent that almost hired Josh McDaniels over now fired Frank Reich.Pick:Raiders win 27-20 and cover the spread.Cowboys at Packers (-5, 43.5 o/u)Dallas is shockingly more than field-goal favorites at Lambeau Field in the return of former Green Bay Super Bowl-winning Larry Borom Jersey coach Mike McCarthy. McCarthy's Cowboys keep winning in big spots and won't let down here after a bye with Dak Prescott having no limitations against a shaky and depleted Packers' defense. On the other side, Aaron Rodgers will be under siege from Micah Parsons and others, but he'll make it interesting by digging deep with his pa sing in the fourth quarter.Pick:Cowboys win 24-20 but fail to cover the spread. That's great news for Aaron Donald up front chasing Kyler Murray while Jalen Ramsey works to contain DeAndre Hopkins on the back end. Bobby Wagner will make sure to clean up vs. the run and contain Murray's scrambling.
